Director of Accounting

Addison Group is partnering with a PE‑backed company headquartered in DFW to identify a Director of Accounting. This position will report to senior leadership and serve as a key business partner for the division. The role will oversee the month, quarter, and year end close process, manage the external audit relationship, and support financial reporting initiatives in a dynamic, growth oriented environment.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical foundation in US GAAP from public accounting along with a mindset focused on process improvement and operational efficiency.

• Own financial reporting, close processes, and internal controls across multiple business units.
• Serve as a key finance partner to operational leadership, providing insight, oversight, and governance.
• Lead month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close, ensuring accuracy across revenue, balance sheet, and intercompany activity.
• Drive process improvement and transformation initiatives focused on standardization, efficiency, and data quality.
• Coordinate with external auditors to support the annual audit process.
• Develop and implement process improvements to streamline consolidation and reporting workflows.
• Evaluate and manage consolidation software/tools, ensuring effective usage across teams.

• Experience in public accounting highly preferred
• 5-10 years of experience required
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required, Master's degree preferred
• CPA required
