Controller, Finance & Banking, Financial Manager

Job Description

Next Step Recruiting has partnered with a business services organization to identify a Controller in Carrollton, TX. This role is onsite and will support accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and ERP initiatives.

This position is ideal for a hands-on accounting leader who can manage a team, strengthen processes, and partner with leadership on financial strategy and operational improvement.

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience
• 2+ years of accounting leadership or team management experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, tax, and internal controls
• Advanced Excel skills and ability to manage deadlines across multiple priorities

Preferred:

• CPA designation
• ERP implementation or finance systems leadership experience
• Experience supporting M&A integration from a finance perspective
• Background managing audits, month-end close, and year-end close
• Experience with industry-specific ERP platforms
