Pharmacy Technician, PRN Behavioral Health

Schedule:

PRN – Required availability, Mon‑Friday, 7:30 am–3 pm

May be asked to float to Collin Springs, Well Bridge Healthcare Fort Worth, and Mesa Springs.

• Fills orders with correct medications.
• Delivers medications to patient care areas and automated dispensing machines accurately and timely.
• Procures pharmaceutical and related supplies per contractual terms.
• Maintains appropriate pharmacy inventory levels.
• Prepares pharmaceutical preparations including unit‑dosing medication and properly labeling any dispensed medications.
• Processes records of medication and equipment dispensed to patient, computes charges, and enters data in computer.
• Generates required reports (e.g., pick list, expiring medications).
• Maintains temperature and environmental monitoring logs appropriately.
• Prioritizes work (e.g., stats made first).
• Restocks shelves and rotates stock.
• Properly disposes of non‑recyclable items.
• Maintains refrigerator temperature and other quality assurance logs.
• Receives and stores incoming supplies.
• Counts stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records.
• Returns medications to stock and rotates stock.
• Organizes and maintains pharmacy related documents.
• Maintains clean and sanitary pharmacy department.
• Collaborates with Director of Pharmacy to ensure department needs are met and departmental goals are achieved.
• Maintains security of the pharmacy. Maintains security of controlled substances.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent (required). Additional requirements include:

• Current State Certification/Licensure as required by state.
• CPR and De‑escalation Certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) with medical and administrative staff as well as patients and families in an assertive, professional manner.
• Basic understanding of the role and use of a computer in the processing of prescription orders with word processing skills.
• Self‑motivated, self‑directed with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Good math and science skills.
• Good stress coping skills.
