Job Details:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team in the construction industry. This role is critical to our organization's success as it is responsible for sourcing, attracting, and hiring top talent into our organization. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing the full recruitment cycle, from identifying potential hires to interviewing and evaluating candidates.
You will bring your expertise in talent acquisition, retention strategies, compensation, and employee relations to our team. This is a permanent, full-time position that requires a minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute recruiting plans to meet the staffing needs of the organization.
2. Network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups, job fairs, and employees to attract high-quality candidates.
3. Develop and track goals for the recruiting and hiring process.
4. Coordinate and implement college recruiting initiatives.
5. Handle administrative duties and recordkeeping.
6. Manage job postings and candidate tracking in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
7. Screen applications and select qualified candidates.
8. Schedule and conduct interviews with potential candidates.
9. Communicate regularly with hiring managers on the status of open positions.
10. Attend career fairs for recruiting and company recognition.
11. Develop working relationships with colleges to aid in recruiting.
12. Provide regular reports on recruitment activities, costs, and outcomes.
13. Use analytics to inform recruiting strategies and decision-making.
14. Develop and manage a talent pipeline and succession planning.
15. Ensure legal compliance throughout the recruitment process.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in Talent Acquisition, preferably in the construction industry.
2. Proven experience with Job Fairs, Workday, Networking, Interviewing, Screening, ATS, Events, Reporting, Analysis, Talent Management, Performance Management, Talent Acquisition, Retention, Detail Oriented, Compensation, Employee Relations.
3. Strong interviewing skills and familiarity with various interview techniques (like video or panel interviews).
4. Familiarity with social media, CV databases, and professional networks.
5.
Experience with full-cycle recruiting using various interview techniques and evaluation methods.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
7. Strong decision-making skills.
8. Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
9. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
10. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience, required.
