Debug Test Technician - 1st Shift Temp to Full Time (105520)

Job Purpose: The Debug Technician diagnoses, troubleshoots, and repairs faults in electronic or mechanical hardware and software, using diagnostic tools and schematics to find root causes at the component level (e.g., PCBA). The role involves repairing defects, ensuring quality, documenting findings, and collaborating with engineers to improve product reliability and manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and fix issues in hardware/software using schematics, BOMs, and test procedures.
- Rework, replace, and repair faulty components (SMT devices, integrated circuits) on circuit boards.
- Set up and operate complex test equipment (oscilloscopes, etc.) to verify functionality.
- Ensure products meet specifications and support continuous improvement.
- Accurately record repair details, failure data, and maintain logs.
- Collaborate with engineers on new product development, procedure updates, and process improvements.
Essential Skills &
Qualifications:
- Understanding of electronics, schematics, circuit diagrams, and assembly documentation (BOMs).
- Proficiency with electronic test and measurement equipment.
- Strong problem‑solving skills – ability to define problems, collect data, and draw conclusions.
- Clear communication with engineering and manufacturing teams.
Education & Experience: Technical knowledge, diagnostic tools proficiency, problem‑solving ability, and communication skills as outlined above are required. Experience in troubleshooting and repairing electronic hardware at the component level is preferred.
