We are seeking a highly experienced Data Modeler Architect with specialized expertise in the Mortgage domain, particularly MISMO standards. The ideal candidate will drive the design and implementation of enterprise data models, ensuring alignment with mortgage industry standards, scalability, and performance in modern data platforms like Snowflake.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, development, and governance of conceptual, logical, and physical data models for enterprise mortgage data platforms.
  • Architect and optimize data models in Snowflake data warehouse environments, ensuring performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Implement MISMO-compliant data structures for mortgage processes and data exchange.
  • Work with semi-structured data (JSON, XML) for ingestion, parsing, and transformation.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, Product Owners, and data engineering teams to translate mortgage business requirements into robust, scalable data models.
  • Define and enforce best practices for data modeling, naming conventions, and documentation.
  • Conduct data lineage, metadata management, and documentation for enterprise datasets.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior data modelers and architects.
Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in data modeling and enterprise data architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake or similar modern data warehouse platforms.
  • Strong expertise in SQL, relational databases, and dimensional modeling (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema).
  • In-depth knowledge of MISMO standards and mortgage industry data requirements.
  • Experience with semi-structured data formats such as JSON and XML.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Owners, data engineers, and business analysts.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in large-scale mortgage or financial services projects.
  • Exposure to modern data engineering practices and cloud-based data platforms.
