The EDI Analyst supports, maintains, and improves our Electronic Data Interchange processes. This role is responsible for the setup, testing, troubleshooting, monitoring, and ongoing support of EDI transactions with customers, suppliers, and internal business systems. The EDI Analyst might include occasional after-hours support for critical EDI issues, system implementations, or production outages. Job Responsibilities )
Develop, maintain, and support EDI maps, transactions, and workflows. Coordinate new EDI trading partner setups including requirement gathering, testing, implementation, and post-go-live support. Monitor daily EDI transactions and resolve failures, errors, and data discrepancies in a timely manner. Troubleshoot EDI-related issues involving data mapping, communication protocols, document formats, and system integrations. Work closely with internal teams which include IT, Customer Service, Supply Chain/Logistics, Finance, and other business departments.
Collaborate with external customers, suppliers, and third-party providers to support EDI connectivity and transaction requirements. Maintain EDI documentation which include trading partner profiles, mapping specifications, process flows, and support procedures. Support common EDI transaction sets such as purchase orders, invoices, advance ship notices, acknowledgments, remittance advice, and other business documents. Assist with system upgrades, process improvements, testing, and implementation of EDI-related enhancements.
Ensure EDI processes meet business requirements, data accuracy standards, and established service levels.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Systems, Supply Chain, or a related field. 5+ years' experience working in an EDI-related role. Experience working with ERP, warehouse, supply chain, or order management systems. Strong knowledge of EDI standards, including both ANSI X12 and EDIFACT. Experience with EDI mapping, testing, troubleshooting, and trading partner onboarding. Familiarity with common EDI transaction sets such as 810/INVOIC, 850/ORDERS, 830/DELFOR, 855/ORDRSP, 856/DESADV, 860/ORDCHG, 865/ORDRSP and others.
Experience with communication protocols such as AS2, SFTP, FTP, VAN, and other secure data exchange methods. Ability to analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into EDI solutions. Strong problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
