Job Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents and staff by performing cleaning duties assigned to apartments, interior and exterior common areas and amenities.
  • Clean public areas and residents’ apartments, including bathrooms, kitchens, patios & windows, floors, furniture, and common areas.
  • Distribute laundered articles and linens; change beds.
  • Clean public restrooms and replenish supplies; sweep, scrub, wax, and polish floors; clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, draperies; dust furniture and equipment; polish metalwork; wash walls, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills.
  • Perform laundry duties: washing and drying resident laundry and textiles; folding/hanging laundry; distributing laundered articles and linens; changing bed linens.
  • Maintain resident laundry areas, including mopping floors, washing walls, checking lint traps.
  • Wash windows at reasonable heights; keep utility and storage rooms clean and orderly.
  • Disinfect and sanitize equipment and supplies; stock cleaning cart with supplies.
  • Empty wastebaskets, transport trash and waste to disposal areas; work with maintenance to keep trash and dumpster areas clean; request maintenance work orders.
  • Report resident issues or changes in health or living status promptly; report unsafe conditions or maintenance issues to Supervisor.
  • May perform other duties as needed/assigned.
Qualifications
  • Must successfully complete all Company specified training programs.
  • Able to operate cleaning equipment (iron, washer & dryer, brooms, mops, vacuums, etc.).
  • Able to work various schedules and shifts as needed.
  • Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
  • Communicate effectively in English with employees and residents.
  • General knowledge of sanitation.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
