Project Manager Data Centers - Dallas, TX

Convergint is seeking a full‑time, enthusiastic Project Manager to join our culture and ensure projects are executed within budget, on schedule and with high customer satisfaction, safety and quality. The role is customer‑facing and includes 50% travel.

• Manage, oversee, and coordinate small to medium projects of moderate complexity from award through completion.
• Translate customer needs and requirements into detailed proposals and project implementation plans.
• Communicate project requirements to the project team and organization, maintaining accurate records of job status, changes, material flow and control records for internal and external reporting.
• Serve as the customer’s best service provider, ensuring Convergint Technologies remains the first choice for service.
• Coordinate procurement of materials, supplies, services and controls necessary for timely and cost‑effective completion within budget.
• Establish project milestones and analyze costs.
• Oversee subcontractor selection process and work, and perform limited managerial responsibilities.
• Participate in the Recruit Awesome People program to promote a colleague‑first culture.

• Project management experience in a technical environment (building automation, fire alarm, or electronic security systems).
• Initiative and proactive behavior, seeking opportunities and solutions.
• Strong analytical, conflict‑resolution and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to facilitate a collaborative environment for customers and team members.
• Adaptability, influence and consensus building with advanced written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

• Financial analytical skills including cost control.
• Team leadership, building and facilitation skills.
• Experience managing client relationships and communications.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Education:
  
  College degree, trade school or equivalent experience.
• Minimum Experience:
  
  5‑7 years in project management.
• Preferred Experience (not required):
• 5 years relevant engineering, field service or project management.
• Experience in one or more of the following industries: electronic, fire alarm & life safety, and/or building automation.
• Certifications & Licenses:
  Project Management Institute (PMI) or industry‑specific certifications.
