Acme Brick Company (a Berkshire Hathaway Company) is an organization of professionals in the manufacturing and building material distribution industry. We manufacture brick and distribute our own brick as well as brick and associated products manufactured by others. We operate in 15 states with a philosophy that we are much more than a brick manufacturer and distributor.

We are currently seeking a “best in class” Forklift Operator work in a safe and fast-paced environment to accurately select and move material. The ideal candidate has a natural ability to roll with the punches, being flexible to handle anything that might come their way. You will be a strong and reliable support to company operations, maintaining procedures, communication and customer service.

• Operate forklift to move material and product while following all company Safety & Security policies and procedures
• Identify and report faulty equipment, damage, and safety concerns to Supervisor immediately
• Operate forklift to move material and product while following all company Safety policies and procedures
• Pick orders, load and unload trailers using a forklift or other material handling equipment
• Sort, pack, wrap, tie and label products as per supervisor’s instructions
• Using an RF gun to receive, pick and ship orders
• Stocking or returning material to its correct rack location using the forklift

• Provide customer assistance
• Weigh pallets, record weight and other data on pallet labels
• Clean work area and equipment regularly by removing empty pallets, wood and plastic
• Follow battery charging procedures for maintaining forklift batteries

• Certification in forklift operation
• Must be able to operate a stand-up reach lift
• Must be able to lift 25-50 pounds regularly
• Must be able to communicate any safety concerns

• High school diploma or equivalent; OR one to three months related experience AND/OR training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
