Company/Location Overview
The Warehouse Tech, essentially our forklift operator, will be responsible for off‑loading and relocating products and materials to designated areas as efficiently and timely as possible. Safety is a top priority; the role requires constant awareness of the work environment, surroundings, and adherence to OSHA regulations and company policies. The operator will sort, organize, conduct preventive maintenance on equipment, adhere to forklift operator safety protocols, and report any mishaps or variations of products immediately to management.
They will maintain and account for materials (cargo, gaylords, pallets, bins, etc.) on hand, staged areas, and oversee deliveries. Additionally, the operator must communicate daily and collaborate with the team to achieve departmental goals.
- Maneuvering forklifts safely in busy industrial environments
- Safely stacking and unstacking large quantities of goods onto shelves or pallets
- Moving goods from storage areas to loading areas for transport
- Unloading deliveries and safely relocating the goods to their designated storage areas
- Ensuring that forklift driving areas are free from spills or obstructions
- Regularly checking forklift equipment for faults or damages
- Using industrial plastic wraps and wooden pallets to safely stack and package goods for transport
- Keeping up to date on health and safety requirements and forklift operating procedures
- Consolidating partial pallets for incoming goods
- At least 1 year forklift experience in a manufacturing setting
- Preferred experience with sit‑down, stand‑up forklift industrial trucks in warehouses, storage yards, construction sites, or manufacturing and other company sites
- Experience moving materials of various loads—large, small, or cumbersome items—to pallets and safely transferring them to designated areas as instructed by a supervisor
- Familiarity with continuous improvement processes, 5S / lean manufacturing concepts, shift change / task handoff, OSHA safety protocols, GMPs, and PPEs
- Must pass background check, drug test, and I‑9 verification
- Must be able to work outside of the regular work schedule as required
- Must attend and pass the company forklift safety training program
