We’re looking for a hands‑on Facilities Maintenance Technician who thrives in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment and understands that utilities are the backbone of operational excellence. This is not a “change light bulbs and patch drywall” role – it’s mission‑critical infrastructure.
ResponsibilitiesYou will be the guardian of our plant’s core utility systems—ensuring uptime, reliability, and safety across the facility.
Utilities & Critical Systems- Maintain and troubleshoot compressed air systems (compressors, dryers, receivers, distribution piping)
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and process water systems
- Maintain HVAC systems including rooftop units, air handlers, exhaust systems, and environmental controls
- Respond rapidly to utility failures to minimize production downtime
- Monitor system performance and drive energy‑efficiency improvements
- Perform maintenance and repairs on building systems including lighting, electrical distribution (within scope), plumbing, walls, floors, and ceilings
- Maintain dock doors, dock levelers, seals, and associated equipment
- Support installation and modification of facility equipment and infrastructure
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and projects
- Production uptime
- Regulatory compliance (OSHA, FDA, SQF, environmental)
- Equipment reliability
- Energy efficiency
- Overall plant safety culture
What You Bring
- 3-7 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (plastics, injection molding, or blow molding preferred)
- Hands‑on experience with compressed air systems, chillers, and HVAC
- Strong preventive and corrective maintenance background
- Proven troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and utility systems
- Working knowledge of pumps, motors, valves, and control systems
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Experience using CMMS systems preferred
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
- Ability to prioritize work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Self‑motivated with strong attention to detail
- Manufacturing plant setting with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures
- Physical requirements include standing, walking, bending, climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, and lifting up to 50 lbs
- May require occasional overtime, weekend, or on‑call support
