Coordinator - Community Partnerships

To serve alongside CFBISD staff to create a synergistic relationship in the district and the community that ensures the overall success of all students and families.

Qualifications:

  • Motivated individual with administrative skills, effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor's degree required in social work, human services, counseling, communications, or similar field.
  • Master's degree preferred.

Special Knowledge/

Skills:

  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in technology (word processing, desktop publishing, database);
    Microsoft software such as Word, Excel, Publisher, etc. and design software like Canva.
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a diverse community.
  • Skilled in making presentations to large and small groups.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of public relations.
  • Special event coordination experience.
  • Ability to manage simultaneous projects with little supervision.
  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships and partnerships with internal and external audiences.

Experience:

  • Experience or knowledge in working with diverse community organizations.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Community Relations:

  • Build, develop, and maintain strong relationships with elected officials, staff, community leaders, faith leaders, parent leaders, and nonprofits in support of creating a climate of support with students, schools and communities.
  • Responsible for participating and representing the district in community-wide cultural projects and events, such as the annual MLK Parade and post-event.
  • Partner with school leaders to strengthen community engagement by increasing volunteer participation, securing sponsor ships, cultivating leadership and advocacy, and expanding meaningful stakeholder partnerships.
  • Advocate for the necessary resources to promote practices that benefit all students and families.
  • Serve as the official district liaison with CFB Council of PTAs, Metrocrest Area Chamber, Metrocrest Services, and CFB Rotary. Attend meetings, create reports, coordinate and organize district campaigns, and share content about the organization's services benefiting CFB students and families.
  • Coordinate student and community ambassador and leadership development programs that reflect the CFB student population. Organize after-school meetings, service projects, outreach opportunities, district events, and school visits for student and community ambassadors.
  • Coordinate and oversee a ministerial alliance to foster positive public relations between the school district and faith-based organizations.
  • Responsible for organizing a district wide school supply drive and back-to-school event to ensure that all students have access to resources, support, and information before the start of classes.
  • Partner with the Educational Foundation and Student Services to regularly assess financial and in-kind resource requirements and coordinate strategies to maintain consistent support for the Giving House.
  • Actively assist and support the Strategic Communications Services team to publicize and promote the district and community programs, projects, and events.
  • Support district initiatives and meet goals related to community partnerships and engagement.

Technical Responsibilities:

  • Maintain complete files for partnerships, events and initiatives, including any financial records, evaluations, publicity for historical records.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Manage partners and volunteers, staff while managing projects.

    Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals; camera; video camera
  • Posture:
    Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting

    May work prolonged or irregular hours; frequent district-wide travel and occasional state-wide travel
