Aldersgate UMC and Vista Ridge UMC are launching The Open Table Youth Collective —an innovative, collaborative ministry designed to transform how churches serve young people together. We're looking for a Founding Area Director to help lead this movement.
This isn't a maintenance role. It's a chance to build a thriving ministry from the ground up that equips students, empowers volunteers, partners with families, and creates new ways for youth to experience the love of Christ—in churches and throughout the community.
What You'll DoInspire and lead vibrant youth ministry across two partner churches
Build relationships with students, parents, schools, and community partners
Create innovative programs, events, retreats, and outreach opportunities
Develop young leaders and help shape the future of collaborative ministry
We're Looking For Someone Who Is:- Passionate about youth and families
- A relationship-builder and team leader
- Creative, entrepreneurial, and excited to start something new
- Organized, collaborative, and self-motivated
- Grounded in Christian faith and called to ministry
3+ years of youth ministry or comparable leadership experience
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
United Methodist or collaborative ministry experience is a plus
What We OfferFull-time position
$70,000–$82,000 salary (based on experience)
Paid vacation and continuing education
