Tampa Bay Joint and Spine Surgery Center was formed by a group of local surgeons to offer easily accessible outpatient care to Clearwater and surrounding communities. The goal of any outpatient surgical visit is to provide the patient with a comfortable environment that focuses on their safety, supports the surgeon with the newest equipment, experienced staff, and results in a successful surgical outcome.

Job Summary
As a Pre‑admission testing nurse or PAT nurse, duties include overseeing intake, performing an initial physical assessment, interviewing the patient to obtain their medical history, conducting tests ordered by the surgeon such as an EKG, and possibly drawing blood for lab work.
Qualifications- Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state of Florida
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Must have at least 1–3 years’ previous experience in Pre‑OP/PACU
- Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center strongly preferred
- Must have current BLS, ALS, and PALS certifications
- Must possess strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
- Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions of the patient when needed
- Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients, and physicians
