Quality Control Technician/ CMM Programmer
Olive Recruiting is looking for a Quality Control Technician/ CMM Programmer for a client in Carrollton, TX. The Quality Control Technician / CMM Programmer is responsible for ensuring products meet customer and company quality standards through CMM programming, metrology, and product inspection. This role supports the Quality Management System by performing inspections, analyzing measurement data, identifying quality issues, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Program and operate CMM equipment for dimensional inspections.
- Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections.
- Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and specifications.
- Analyze inspection data and document results.
- Utilize precision measuring equipment to verify product conformance.
- Support quality management systems, inspection plans, and change management.
- Assist with developing and revising quality procedures.
- Monitor quality metrics and recommend process improvements.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Investigate quality issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Support corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Train production personnel on quality requirements as needed.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Production to ensure customer quality standards are met.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 2+ years of Quality Control or CMM Programming experience in manufacturing.
- Experience programming and operating CMM equipment.
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T.
- Proficient with precision measuring instruments.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Customer-focused with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Experience with PC-DMIS, Calypso, Poly Works, or similar CMM software.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, SPC, or Lean Manufacturing principles.
