Position: Salesperson/Store Driver  Store 7756

Job Overview

Entry level sales position capable of supporting the DIY business and achieving our sales and service objectives. The role requires good knowledge of store systems, basic automotive system knowledge, and basic part knowledge. It also involves sourcing from stores, hubs, pdq, and external suppliers, along with in-depth knowledge of store inventory and maintenance processes. The position can be part time or full time.

Fleet safety certification is preferred.

Salesperson – Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide an excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls.
  • Achieve personal sales goals and help the store meet its sales objectives.
  • Perform DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, and similar tasks.
  • Maintain store product and operational standards.
  • Manage inventory processes such as truck put‑away, shoot‑outs, cycle counts, and back‑stocking.
Salesperson – Secondary Responsibilities
  • Ensure store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot.
  • Carry out general stocking tasks, including truck stocking and back‑stocking.
  • Safely deliver parts to customers as needed.
Salesperson – Success Factors
  • Basic driving and navigation skills.
  • Ability to use a delivery board system.
  • Friendly communication abilities.
  • Capacity to locate and stock parts.
  • Knowledge of safety practices and skills.
  • Proficiency with inventory systems and store equipment.

  • 2–3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment, providing superior customer experiences.
Store Driver – Overview

Entry level store position capable of supporting delivery of parts to commercial customers. The role delivers parts to commercial customers and assists with inventory processes in the store. The position can be part time or full time and must be fleet safety certified.

Store Driver – Primary Responsibilities
  • Safely deliver parts to customers as needed.
  • Pick and stage parts for customer orders.
  • Pick up returns and cores.
  • Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyer.
  • Collect daily credit account information.
Store Driver – Secondary Responsibilities

Physical Demands

The job requires walking, standing, talking, hearing, handling, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds are required. Vision abilities needed include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

The employee usually works indoors but may occasionally be outside and exposed to weather while installing batteries and wiper blades. They may also be exposed to moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, electrical shock, explosives, and vibration. Noise level is usually moderate.
