Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk under direct supervision provides friendly, courteous and helpful service. This position assists customers, cleans, fills and rotates the cheese and deli displays in the Bulk Deli.
The position consists of two different shifts. The morning shift begins the day replenishing product, as instructed by the Bulk Deli Manager or Assistant Bulk Deli Manager, in a specifically assigned area. The clerk is responsible for assisting customers throughout the entire shift. The clerk also maintains the cleanliness of the department throughout the shift.
The working environment is typical for a fast‑paced grocery store and essential functions include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking, kneeling, as well as visual and auditory requirements. Food Handler Card or its equivalent certification is required for all positions related to preparation, handling and serving food.
