We are seeking a dynamic Outside Sales Representative to join our Godwin business in Carrollton, TX. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth by expanding rental and sales opportunities for Xylem's products and services. The ideal candidate will leverage strong technical expertise to develop fluid handling solutions, promote aftermarket services, and build lasting customer relationships.

- Drive financial performance by increasing rentals and sales within the assigned territory
- Build and manage a robust sales pipeline using
- Develop new accounts and grow existing ones through proactive outreach, including cold calling and lead generation
- Apply technical knowledge to deliver tailored pumping solutions and services
- Collaborate with Marketing to enhance brand visibility and generate new business opportunities
- Implement local marketing strategies to increase market penetration
- Identify cross-selling opportunities across Xylem’s product portfolio
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends
- Prepare detailed sales reports, forecasts, and territory analyses
- Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, trade shows, and community engagement initiatives
- Support onboarding and field training of new sales team members
- Stay informed through industry research tools such as Dodge Room and Contractors Exchange
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field
- Minimum of 2 years in sales or a related role (experience in pump or rental industry preferred)
- Strong understanding of consultative and value-based selling
- Technical knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and motors (diesel, gas, electric)
- Proficiency in or similar CRM platforms
- Ability to deliver product presentations to groups of 20–40 people
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Skilled in negotiation and influencing techniques
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a company vehicle
- Willingness to travel locally up to 50% and lift up to 70 lbs
This role involves a mix of office work, customer site visits, and shop floor engagement. Candidates must be comfortable driving for extended periods across various terrains and weather conditions. Standard work hours are 40 per week.
