Overview
Act as the technical business development expert for all aspects of RFP data intelligence, analysis, preparation, and presentation. Coordinate with company leadership, Business Development, and Operations teams.
ResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Comply with the company’s Safety Program policies and procedures.
- Work with the Director of Business Development and team to create new sales and marketing strategies that target customers and position the company to be the winning solution during the RFP process.
- Identify current and future customer requirements by establishing personal rapport with key stakeholders.
- Conduct market research and maintain data consisting of, but not limited to: service opportunities, competitor analysis, labor rates, margin expectations, and additional opportunities beyond the scope detailed in the RFP request.
- Prepare cost and pricing information based on RFP documentation, system drawings and asset lists, local market intelligence, and all associated data required to successfully complete a quality RFP response.
- Collaborate with various departments to determine how services can best be presented, modified, added, or otherwise improved to promote the sale of said services.
- Participate in the delivery of technical presentations to customers to explain data inputs, service expectations, and answer any associated questions as part of the RFP process.
- Translate and explain highly complex technical information to customers and potential customers.
- Identify improvements and opportunities at existing customer locations by analyzing current site operational and performance data, based on available business segments supported by the company.
- Create recommendations to eliminate waste, reduce cost, drive efficiency, and improve service levels.
- Prepare, publish, and review reporting related to RFP data intelligence, including ongoing recommendations for cost reduction, service improvements, and RFP response quality.
- Maintain professional and technical expertise by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional organizations and events.
- Perform additional duties and assignments as may be required by leadership.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Business Administration, or equivalent business development work experience.
- 5+ years’ experience in business development, preferably within the airport or technical background and in a customer contract environment.
- Relative project management experience.
- Intermediate knowledge of industry policies and procedures.
- Intermediate knowledge of activities within customer and stakeholder environments.

- Ability to travel up to 35% of the time.
Computer
Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project.
- Working knowledge of Salesforce.
Other Requirements:
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the company’s insurance policy.
