Job Purpose

Our Sales Trainee role is tailored for individuals at the entry‑level who are enthusiastic about building a career in sales. As a Sales Trainee, you will receive extensive training with our Customer Service, Operations, and Sales teams to acquire the essential skills and knowledge required for a successful sales career. This position involves working closely with an experienced Sales Representative who will provide support and contribute to the development plan aimed at transitioning this position into a Sales Representative role within a 24‑36 month period.

Job Responsibilities
  • Participate in training programs to learn the products, services, and sales techniques.
  • Shadow experienced Sales Representatives to gain practical experience in the field.
  • Learn to identify potential customers and understand their needs and preferences.
  • Assist in preparing and delivering sales presentations to potential customers.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and objectives.
  • Act as the first point of contact for customer queries and complaints and resolve these, referring complex issues to others and ensuring that the customer receives an appropriate response.
  • Schedule follow‑up actions and enter relevant information into the customer relationship management system after each contact to create a call plan and ensure that the organization has quality data to enable effective customer retention and business development activities.
  • Develop knowledge and understanding of the organization's policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct to ensure the work adheres to those standards.
  • Prioritize own workflow and ensure work is completed to the required standards of productivity, quality, and timeliness; use performance management systems to improve personal performance.
  • Additional duties as required.

Base Salary Range

$63,000 - $70,700

Work Experience
  • 1‑3 years of related job experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently.
  • Excellent verbal, written, people, and diplomacy skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong customer service skills (friendly, courteous and helpful).
Education
  • High School Diploma (Preferred).
Physical Requirements
  • A significant portion of the job responsibilities will require computer work that involves the continuous use of the fingers, hands, wrists, and sitting for long periods of time.
  • The position also requires frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds.
  • The position requires work in an office as well as travel to customers, suppliers, group meetings, etc.
