Position Title:
Tower Technician Level II
Starting at $20.00 per hour
Position OverviewAmory Construction is seeking a Level II Tower Technician to safely and efficiently climb and work on wireless structures under the direct supervision of senior tower professionals. This role supports the installation, maintenance, and repair of wireless communication systems while developing technical skills through hands‑on field experience.
Roles And Responsibilities- Layout and install ice bridges and perform proper cad welding
- Assemble tower platforms on the ground and install on structure, including work involving cathead exposure
- Route and secure hybrid cables, jumpers, and related wiring systems
- Fabricate steel components in the field and on the tower
- Install Raycaps and Flash Technology lighting controllers
- Troubleshoot fiber, RF, and power issues using PIM/sweep equipment and fiber testers
- Capture accurate pre‑construction and closeout documentation and photos
- Perform rigging in Class III scenarios
- Install microwave dishes, antennas, RRUs, and other wireless equipment
- Perform maintenance and installation of antenna systems on communications towers
- Properly use and maintain hand tools and mechanical equipment
- Understand and follow all safety requirements associated with tower climbing and energized equipment
- Work on towers 100+ feet in height using approved climbing and safety equipment in accordance with OSHA standards
- Analyze field conditions and determine appropriate course of action
- Learn from senior technicians and foremen to develop technical and professional skills
- Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership

- Exposure to outdoor environments in all weather conditions year‑round
- Exposure to loud or distracting job site conditions
- Required use of PPE including hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and steel‑toe boots
- 2+ years of experience in wireless or related field preferred
- First Aid/CPR certification preferred
- RF Awareness training preferred
- OSHA 10 (Construction) preferred
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record required
