Job Description

The Lead Technician/Technician III is the on-site lead responsible for completing installations as directed by the Field Manager. This role requires proficiency in meeting CTS installation standards and supervising other Technicians and Subcontractors.

Responsibilities:
  • 2 to 5 years of industry experience or equivalent as DAS Technician III.
  • Ability to follow directions from the Field Manager/Project Manager.
  • Lead and supervise Technicians and Apprentices in DAS installation.
  • Manage daily installation quality and schedule.
  • Transport materials to job sites.
  • Conduct site walks for small venues and retail stores.
  • Document site walks for future bidding.
  • Pull Coax and Fiber cables.
  • Work independently and make sound decisions when un-supervised.
  • Perform PIM & Sweep Testing on Coax and Fiber.
  • Operate and understand test equipment like the Anritsu Site Master.
  • Basic knowledge of frequency bands, protocols, and terminology.
  • Understand building codes for compliant installations.
  • Read IBW Design documentation and installation components.
  • Perform fusion splicing and fiber optic testing.
  • Begin troubleshooting and tuning of systems.
  • Collect data and photos for closeout documentation.
  • Maintain knowledge of CTS products and services.
  • Manage team timesheets as needed.
  • Possess a valid Driver's License and maintain an unblemished driving record if a company vehicle is issued.
  • Physically capable of carrying tools, climbing ladders, lifting up to 50 lbs, and other physical tasks.
Requirements:
  • Physical ability to carry tools, materials, and ladders; climb ladders; lift up to 50 lbs; and perform other physical tasks.
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record if using a company vehicle.
