Job Description
- Lead large inspections and special projects with multiple technicians or solo
- Assist and/or fill in for the inspection manager as required
- Mentor lower‑level technicians during their quest for additional licenses and knowledge
- Perform duties in a cost–effective manner while inspecting structures that contain fire protection systems
- Sprinkler – inspect and complete documentation; maintain RME‑I and TCEQ B‑PAT licenses
- Alarm – inspect fire alarm systems and components; maintain licenses
- Extinguisher/Hood/Special Hazard – inspect and maintain systems; maintain FAL license where required
- Ensure timely and complete submission of JSAs, toolbox talks, audit forms, incident and accident reports; uphold safety initiatives
- Manage inventory, equipment maintenance, and customer satisfaction, and maintain professional appearance
- Ensure safety compliance, effective communication, teamwork, and willingness to work overtime, travel out of town, or be on call
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Required NICET level for trade and applicable/current Texas Dept. of Insurance license
- Strong understanding of NFPA standards and installation procedures
- Current Texas driver’s license and clean driving record; criminal background check required
- Sprinkler – minimum 3 years (install/service experience a plus)
- Alarm – minimum 3 years (install/service experience a plus)
- Extinguisher – minimum 2 years
- Hood Suppression – minimum 2 years
- Special Hazard – minimum 1 year (requires FAL license)
- Ability to take direction from upper management
- Accurately complete and maintain all paperwork
- Maintain vehicles and tools as per company policy
- Valid state driver’s license with a good driving record
- Willingness to perform testing, maintenance, and identify inspection deficiencies
- Team player with strong customer service skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
