Field Service Technician II

Ener Sys is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Field Service Technician II to join our growing team in the Ener Sys Energy Systems business. The role involves providing timely and effective on-site service, maintenance, and equipment repair for telecommunications, data centers, utilities, and other essential services.

• Travel to customer sites to perform basic installation, preventative maintenance, and basic repair of battery equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose common technical issues, replace defective parts, and reassemble equipment.
• Provide on-site technical assistance and training to customers on the safe operation of their equipment.

• Build and maintain strong customer relationships by providing timely, efficient, and professional service.
• Effectively communicate with customers to understand their needs, explain technical details, and resolve concerns.
• Act as a liaison between the customer and the company to ensure customer satisfaction.

• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including OSHA, DOT Hazmat, and ISO
  9000 standards.
• Operate material handling equipment safely and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Complete all required safety and compliance training.

• Maintain accurate records of service calls, maintenance activities, and customer interactions.
• Complete timely reports, including service reports, expense reports, and quality alerts.
• Manage company assets, including a service vehicle, parts inventory, tools, and test equipment.

• Minimum 1.5 years of field service experience in electrical, telecom, or energy-related fields.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems and test equipment (Aptitude exam required).
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, such as schematics and manuals.
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record for insurability.
• Availability to work non-standard hours in a 24/7 work week.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs. and carry equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, such as bending, stooping, and kneeling.

• Must be able and willing to do overnight travel.
• This position requires driving a company vehicle; meeting specified driving requirements.
• Must frequently bend, twist, reach, stoop, kneel or crouch.
• Must be able to differentiate colors.
• Must lift up to 50 pounds on a daily continuous basis; heavier tasks require mechanical assistance or assistance of another employee.
• Must stand for long periods of time.
• Must be on-call, willing to work overtime, and accommodate varying schedules including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
• Risk of electrical shock.
