Installer - Banking Equipment (Physical Banking Equipment)
Convergint is looking for a full‑time, enthusiastic, results driven and forward‑thinking Banking Service Technician to join our culture. In this role, you will troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on banking equipment including alarm systems, CCTV, pneumatic drive‑ups, ATMs, vaults, safe deposit boxes, etc. Must have good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

What you’ll do with “Our Training and Your Experience”

- Install and assemble banking equipment according to manufacturer specifications and customer requirements.
- Remove, relocate, and replace existing equipment during branch renovations or upgrades.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on ATMs, vault doors, safes, cash dispensers, and related banking equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, installation drawings, and technical manuals.
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, branch personnel, and equipment manufacturers.
- Ensure all installations comply with safety regulations, security standards, and company procedures.
- Conduct equipment testing and operational inspections upon completion of installations.
- Maintain accurate service records, installation reports, and inventory documentation.
- Travel to customer sites as required, including overnight travel when necessary.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, forklifts, lifts, and other installation equipment safely.
- Train customers on proper operation and basic maintenance of installed equipment.
What You’ll Need
- Working knowledge of drive‑up, locking and electronic systems specific to banking industry.
- Basic knowledge of Digital Video Recorders (DVRs) and Network Video Recorders (NVRs) connected to the remote system.
- Solid knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Customer focus – maintaining awareness of and seeking to meet the needs and wants of the customer.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Adaptability – responds effectively to changes in situation or information.

Requirements
Education:
High School/GED or equivalent experience
Required Experience
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
- 1 year of previous banking specialist experience within a commercial, industrial, or facilities operation setting.
- Experience in 1 or more of the following industries: electronic, fire alarm & life safety, and/or building automation.
- Experience with Hamilton and Diebold systems.
Preferred Experience (but not required)
- Technical diploma and/or equivalent trade experience (e.g. electrician).
- Technical, mechanical, electrical, or construction experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and mobile reporting applications.
