The Role The Shop Technician is responsible for evaluating, repairing, and testing submersible wastewater pumps in a shop environment. This role includes both mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, with product-specific training provided.

This is an
** entry-level, development-focused role
** with strong growth potential.### Core Responsibilities
* Evaluate, repair, and test submersible wastewater pumps
* Perform basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting
* Operate shop equipment, including forklifts, overhead cranes, and other equipment
* Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
* Accurately document work in the work-order system
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
* Work both independently and as part of a team
* Support a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement### Qualifications
*
* Education:

*** High school diploma or equivalent
* Trade school or technical training in electromechanical or a related field preferred, but not required
*
* Experience:

*** 0–2 years of technical or hands-on experience
* Open to recent graduates and individuals early in their careers
*
* Skills:

*** Basic to intermediate electrical and mechanical aptitude
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
* Ability to read and understand technical information
* Comfortable using computers, tablets, and basic software tools### Work Environment
* Industrial shop setting requiring PPE, including hard hats and other required safety equipment
* Exposure to noise, machinery, and occasional hazardous materials
* Physical requirements include standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
* Overtime and some travel may be required###

** The estimated pay range for this position is $26 to $29 per hour. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location.
