Lead Access Control Techncian

Lead Access Control Technician – Carrollton, TX Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, service, and program/commission access control and security systems
• Install door hardware including mag locks, electric strikes, crash bars, REX devices, and related hardware
• Install, service, and troubleshoot CCTV systems
• Read and interpret access control and CCTV blueprints
• Troubleshoot systems and identify issues in the field
• Provide clear updates and communicate jobsite issues to Project Managers
• Work directly with customers and maintain a professional presence on-site
• Work safely on ladders/lifts and be comfortable with heights
• Support additional low voltage systems as needed at commercial and industrial sites

• Solid commercial low-voltage experience, with a strong background in access control
• Stable work history — not frequent job changes
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Comfortable interacting directly with customers
• Ability to understand jobsite conditions and clearly communicate updates/issues to Project Managers
• Professional presentation and behavior
• Strong technical skills and troubleshooting ability
• Experience with access control and CCTV systems
• Working knowledge of telecom and data networks
• Programming/commissioning experience is a plus
• Manufacturer certifications, BICSI, Lift, and OSHA certifications are a plus
• Basic hand tools and PPE required
• Willingness to travel to job sites as needed
