Summary
The Child Development Center is recruiting for a student employee Teacher’s Aide. This individual will be responsible for organizing activities with children in accordance with the curriculum prepared by the head teacher, including singing, reading stories, other language arts, and assisting with other developmentally appropriate activities throughout the day. Other duties as assigned include cleaning, organizing the environment, interacting with children during spontaneous reading, word play, navigating social interactions, assisting with conflict resolution, and maintaining the safety of the environment.
ResponsibilitiesOrganize and facilitate scheduled activities and assist the head teacher in child development programming. Maintain a safe and engaging environment for all children.
RequirementsRequired Qualifications
- TB test required upon hire.
- Initial training to be completed within 90 days of employment: CPR, First Aid, Symptoms of Illness, Child Abuse and Neglect, SIDS, etc.
- ECE degree or early childhood coursework preferred but not required.
- Experience in child care preferred but not required.
