Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough reviews of complex data center construction projects managed by colocation lease providers, including risk profile analysis and collaboration to mitigate potential issues.
  • Strategic Planning:
    Formulate and execute long‑term standards and strategies for delivering data center colocation construction projects consistently in line with organizational goals.
  • Lead a team focused on base building and MEP infrastructure while coordinating with DCIB teams responsible for tenant fit out data hall projects.
  • Team Leadership:
    Inspire and mentor a diverse group of project managers, engineers, and construction specialists, fostering a cooperative and high‑performing workspace.
  • Project Oversight:
    Direct and supervise the construction oversight for data centers managed by colocation providers to ensure timely, budget‑aligned, and high‑quality project completions.
  • Schedule Management:
    Create and sustain detailed project schedules, coordinating with colocation providers to guarantee timely milestone deliveries.
  • Risk Evaluation:
    Independently analyze projects to assess associated risk profiles, address gaps in risk mitigation, and communicate potential impacts to the business.
  • Tenant Fit Out Integration:
    Collaborate throughout the design, construction, and commissioning phases to ensure full integration of tenant fit out projects with efforts led by DCIB teams.
  • Quality Assurance:
    Establish and oversee quality control procedures to ensure construction activities adhere to design specifications and industry standards.
  • Design Coordination:
    Work in unison with design teams to confirm that construction activities are in line with approved plans and specifications.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
    Act as the primary liaison between the company and colocation providers, ensuring effective communication.
  • Risk Management:

    Proactively identify potential risks and devise mitigation strategies to secure project success.
  • Compliance:
    Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards in construction activities.
  • Provide ongoing evaluation input for colocation providers to facilitate continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular project visits to monitor schedule, coordination, and quality throughout the project’s lifecycle.
  • Innovation and Improvement:
    Keep pace with industry trends and emerging technologies, incorporating innovative solutions to boost data center efficiency and sustainability.
  • Participate in meetings across various time zones to support live engagement in international projects.
  • Required Skills Include
  • Comprehensive knowledge of base building data center construction, including civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, controls, and plumbing.
