Job Description
This is a part-time, temporary/seasonal position. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis to establish an applicant pool. As vacancies occur, they are filled from the pool.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Associate of Science in Fire Science or related field from a regionally accredited institution OR equivalent combination of academic preparation and professional experience
* Hold appropriate certification/s as required by the National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) and/or the Nevada State Fire Marshals Office.
* Copy of required certifications
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Teach didactic and laboratory courses. Assignments may be multi-campus with day, evening and/or weekend classes.
* Develop course syllabi and materials.
* Evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes.
* Work cooperatively with the EMS & Paramedic Program Coordinator
* Work cooperatively with the Nevada State Fire Marshals Office
