Salary & BenefitsSalary placement based on education and verified contracted teaching experience accepted. Salary range: $53,283.00 to $83,813.00. Employer‑paid retirement, health and life insurance, sick leave benefits and personal leave.
Job DescriptionTeach one or more subjects to students in public schools by implementing appropriate educational curriculum based on the Nevada State Standards and Carson City School District expectations. Create and maintain an educational atmosphere that encourages effective student learning and supports school and district programs and goals. Adhere to the Nevada Educator Performance Framework (NEPF).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Administer appropriate district curriculum aligned with the Nevada State Standards.
- Ensure the opportunity for all students to learn in a supportive environment.
- Create and maintain a positive, orderly, and academically focused learning condition.
- Develop and implement effective lesson components.
- Analyze student progress and provide appropriate instruction.
- Provide a classroom management/discipline plan ensuring safety at all times.
- Ensure assessment regulations and guidelines are followed.
- Develop a classroom climate that promotes positive learning conditions.
- Work professionally with administration, staff, parents, and community.
- Integrate technology into the instructional program.
- Participate in other job‑related duties and activities as assigned.
- Instruct students by lecturing, demonstrating, and using audiovisual aids and other materials.
- Prepare course objectives and outlines following curriculum guidelines.
- Assign lessons and correct homework.
- Administer tests, record results, and issue reports to inform parents.
- Keep attendance records.
- Participate in faculty and professional meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops.
