About the Position

This is a part‑time, temporary/seasonal position.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Graduation from high school; some college or Associate’s degree preferred.
  • Experience with computer hardware and software is desirable.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with college faculty, staff, and students.
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to explain instructions and guidelines to others and communicate effectively with faculty, staff, and students.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Answer voicemails, emails, and phone calls.
  • Contact students and faculty via email and phone to set‑up appointments and test proctoring.
  • Prepare and handle sensitive information and testing materials in a confidential and professional manner.
  • Maintain check‑in procedures.
  • Administer college and national testing when testing.
  • Monitor lab equipment.
  • Follow computer lab policies and procedures.
  • Promote college educational programs and services to the communities served by WNC.
  • Maintain computer lab schedules.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the lab.
  • Monitor computer lab supplies.
  • Maintain computers and printers in the lab.
