Part-time Instructor, Machine Tool Technology

Job Overview

This is a part-time, temporary/seasonal instructor position. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis and positions are filled from the applicant pool as vacancies occur.

• Minimum:
  Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university in the specified discipline or a closely related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively with college faculty, staff, and students.
• Preferred:
  Experience teaching college-level courses.
• Preferred:
  Experience with distance education/web-teaching modalities.
• Preferred:
  Fluency in Spanish.

• Teach assigned courses and be available to students during the contract period.
• Prepare course syllabi, course outlines (if necessary), and related instructional materials.
• Maintain student records, including attendance and grades.
• Administer student evaluations.
• Participate in orientation and faculty meetings as requested.
• Participate in student retention activities as requested.
• Promote college educational programs and services to the communities served by WNC.

Exempt:
Yes. Full‑Time Equivalent: 15.0%.
