As a Senior Machining Process Engineer, your responsibilities include providing technical and production support for gas turbine systems in aerospace and industrial applications. You will develop and optimize CNC machining processes, create new fixtures and tools, and troubleshoot existing processes. Additionally, you will lead project teams, apply Lean methodologies, and collaborate with the Chromalloy Engineering team on new parts, repairs, and technology implementation.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop fixturing, tooling, and CNC programs for milling and grinding of turbine components.
- Collaborate with Operations and Quality teams to ensure flawless production and perfect part quality.
- Apply continuous improvement and Lean tools and methodologies to continuously improve processes; identify, develop, and implement tooling/equipment improvements.
- Lead project teams working on new designs, repairs, and process enhancements.
- Utilize project management skills to drive successful outcomes within technical, budgetary, and schedule requirements.
- Engage with the Chromalloy Engineering team to develop new parts, repairs, and cutting‑edge technologies.
- Implement innovative methods that positively impact business metrics.
- A bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience as an engineer in the aerospace or industrial gas turbine engine mechanical‑design discipline.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 3D CAD modeling and CAM programming (Siemens NX preferred).
- Experience with multi‑axis milling and grinding (Okuma experience preferred).
- Familiarity with continuous improvement, Lean tools and methodologies, and strong project management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a multi‑disciplinary team environment and a track record of delivering results.
- Knowledge of FAA guidelines for PMA and RS‑DER requirements is a plus.

Individual compensation within the range is determined by multiple factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, job‑related skills, internal equity, and market conditions.
