Machinery Diagnostics Field Engineer
As a Machinery Diagnostics Field Engineer, you will provide customers with complete service solutions to address rotating machinery assets, protection and monitoring systems. This includes evaluating machinery condition through rotor dynamic analysis.
Responsibilities- Diagnose machinery problems based on vibration data, operational data, and customer communications.
- Travel to customer sites to provide supporting service.
- Complete timely reports that identify findings and provide recommendations.
- Build relationships with customers to become their trusted advisor for rotating equipment health.
- Calculate and oversee placement of balance weights.
- Apply Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) standards and procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical Engineering a plus).
- Minimum 2 years of industry experience.
- Availability for extensive travel (up to 70%) and significant overtime (paid).
- Valid driver’s license and passport (or ability to obtain one).
- Eligible to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Credential).
- Eligible to travel overseas and/or work on offshore platforms on occasion.
- Theoretical and practical knowledge of reliability services.
- ISO certification for vibration analysis.
- Demonstrated authority and assurance in dealing with people.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Experience working under stressful working conditions.
- Project Management skills.
- Solid computer skills using MS Office.
- Mechanical troubleshooting skills (hands‑on approach).
- Experience reading, interpreting, and understanding mechanical prints.
- Knowledge of rotating machinery operation and controls systems.
- Knowledge of machinery protection and management systems.
- Experience with mechanical vibration, rotating machinery vibration/diagnostics, rotodynamic analysis, PdM data acquisition/evaluation, machinery balancing and alignment.
- Knowledge of Bently Nevada products and Cordant™ services.
- Basic familiarity with computer network systems.

The annual pay scale for this position is between $79,490.00 – $.
