The candidate will support engineering design for roadway, municipal, port, or rail projects and develop plans for a variety of transportation projects.

- Perform engineering design tasks for roadway, municipal, rail and port projects from preliminary to final design
- Develop specifications, cost estimates, and prepare final bid packages
- Begin to foster relationships with regulatory agencies, local government, NDOT and state clients, as well as private clients
- Provide engineering design services for traditional design and design‑build highway projects
- Mentor and assist junior engineers in developing final design plans, including implementation and knowledge of cross sections, traffic control, drainage and signing and pavement markings plans
- Assist in coordinating design activities and meetings between design staff, subcontractors and client managers
- Participate in project decisions regarding technical approaches, cost and scheduling performance
- Identify schedule and cost variances and develop and implement recommendations for corrective actions

Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Transportation related engineering; required
- 0 to 2 years of experience designing transportation/roadway engineering projects; required
- Previous internship experience desired
- EIT licensure or ability to obtain within 6 months of start date; required
- Software experience required:
- Microstation/Geopak, Open Roads Designer
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Bluebeam Revu and/or Adobe Acrobat
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation); required
- Availability and willingness to travel
- All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre‑employment (post‑offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800‑171

Majority of work is office based. Some site visits may be required which may necessitate navigating unpaved or natural terrain while carrying equipment.
