This role involves delivering high-quality real estate analysis, CMBS, and other commercial real estate loan underwriting and debt consulting services. You will manage various transactions for multiple clients under tight deadlines and may also assume a 'player-coach' role or have direct supervisory responsibilities. Expertise in the relevant subject matter is essential for managing work products effectively and conducting quality control and risk assessments.
Key Responsibilities- Apply your expert knowledge to production, quality control, and training of junior staff in various essential skills, including:
- Review and analyze financial documents such as operating statements, rent rolls, and personal financial statements.
- Examine loan and lease documentation, organizational structures, and property insurance policies as part of the due diligence process.
- Gather market data related to inventory, absorption rates, new developments, rent and vacancy trends, and demographics.
- Assess appraisal, engineering, and environmental reports to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Conduct site inspections and tenant analyses to support valuations and asset reports.
- Assist in loan closings by procuring necessary documentation.
- Conduct interviews with market participants to gather pertinent data.
- Engage in credit committee discussions.
- Support the development of value conclusions for all property types.
- Create or update complex cash flow models using Argus or similar software.
- Monitor loan performance and elevate any concerns regarding defaults through formal reports.
- Review construction invoices to ensure compliance with loan agreements.
- Collaborate with accounting firms to resolve discrepancies in documentation.
- Identify data for portfolio trading and assess risks associated with loans.
- Undertake additional tasks as assigned by your manager.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Real Estate, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Entry‑level candidates with 0‑2 years of relevant experience encouraged to apply.
- Experience in real estate or financial services related to commercial properties is a plus, or equivalent educational background and experience.
- Strong understanding of real estate, due diligence processes, lending policies, and risk management.
- Familiarity with different property sectors and their investment characteristics.
- Proficient in Excel and cash flow modeling with strong business writing abilities.
- Detail‑oriented with excellent organization and time management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication capabilities.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Critical thinking skills to assess and resolve issues independently, with support from senior team members.

The annual full‑time base salary for this position is $25.00. Compensation will be determined based on interviews and a review of education, experience, skills, and market data. Additional benefits include PTO, paid holidays, medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, as well as a 401K plan, according to applicable policies.
