Position: STATISTICIAN 2

Statistician 2

The Nevada Department of Corrections is seeking to fill a Statistician 2 for the Northern Nevada Correctional Center in Carson City. This position will be a part of the Offender Management Division, incumbents will assist in preparing, distributing, and reviewing survey forms/questionnaires and contacting sources for data. They will be performing duties such as compiling, editing, computing, and performing routine analysis of collected data, verifying consistency with prior submissions and checking against statistical parameters;

reviewing survey results from other sources; creating summary tables, charts, graphs, and narrative text for reports or publications; maintaining databases, inputting gathered information, and generating ad hoc reports for professional or management use.

Statisticians gather statistical and other data and perform routine analysis and computations; compile reports and prepare charts, graphs, maps and diagrams to display the data and analysis.

    Employees who have received a performance rating of "standard" or better and have completed eight (8) or more years of continuous service are eligible for longevity pay.
