The Operating Room Manager provides overall leadership for clinical operations, staff performance, and financial management of the department. This role ensures high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and alignment with hospital goals.
Essential Functions- Lead and manage licensed and unlicensed staff, including hiring, orientation, education, scheduling, workflow and patient throughput, performance evaluations, payroll, coaching, and disciplinary action.
- Maintain a positive, high-performing work environment that supports staff development, engagement, and retention.
- Establish, implement, and monitor departmental policies, procedures, and standards of care in compliance with hospital policy and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee patient experience and quality outcomes, including HCAHPS feedback, complaint resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage daily operations to ensure safe, efficient clinical workflows and appropriate staffing.
- Develop and manage operational and capital budgets, including variance review, requisition approval, capital requests, and contract oversight.
- Ensure availability and maintenance of supplies and equipment; oversee buyers, schedulers, and education functions.
- Promote safety, infection control, emergency preparedness, and timely incident reporting.
- Resolve staff and operational issues effectively while following established chain of command.
- Participate in hospital committees, lead assigned projects, and perform other duties as assigned.

Required:
- Registered Nurse with an unrestricted licensure in the State of Nevada
- Five (5) years experience as an acute care nurse and four (4) years in a progressive leadership role
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Nationally recognized Certification related to your specialty
Preferred:
- Nationally recognized Certification related to Nursing Leadership
