Summary

Under the direction of the nurse manager and supervision of the professional nurse, provides supportive care to the Ambulatory Infusion Center and Cancer Resource Center by performing a variety of clerical and patient care duties.

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current license as a Laboratory Assistant through the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services at time of hire or position entry; or qualify to apply for license as a Laboratory Assistant through the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services within six (6) months of hire or position entry.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current license as a Laboratory Assistant through the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services at time of hire or position entry; or qualify to apply for license as a Laboratory Assistant through the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services within six (6) months of hire or position entry.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers

• Documentation of successful completion of a course or training in phlebotomy.
• Previous experience with specimen processing.
• One (1) year's previous experience as a medical assistant.
• Experience in healthcare may be substituted.
