Position Overview

Flex Rehab Solutions is actively seeking an experienced and dedicated full-time Physical Therapist to join our compassionate team in Carson City, Nevada. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering personalized rehabilitation services directly within patients' homes, focusing on enhancing their mobility, strength, and overall functional capacity.

Environment

This full-time position is primarily onsite, as you will be providing home care to patients requiring physical rehabilitation services. The work setting fosters a unique and supportive atmosphere, where you will work closely with a diverse patient population. You will have the flexibility to adapt your therapeutic approaches according to the specific needs and home environments of each patient.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs, ensuring the emphasis is on improving mobility, strength, and overall functionality.
  • Guide patients through a variety of therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities aimed at promoting physical well-being and alleviating pain.
  • Educate patients and their families on proper body mechanics, effective exercise techniques, and relevant home exercise programs that support their rehabilitation journey.
  • Administer therapeutic modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy, under the supervision of an experienced Physical Therapist.
  • Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, tracking improvements in range of motion, strength gains, and functional status to inform ongoing treatment adjustments.
  • Prepare treatment areas and manage equipment and supplies to ensure a smooth and efficient therapy session.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team including Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists to create a holistic approach to patient care.
  • Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients, creating a motivating and positive environment conducive to healing.
  • Adhere to high ethical standards, ensuring patient confidentiality and respecting individual rights and privacy in every interaction.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The role involves working with varied patient demographics, allowing you to apply your skills across different rehabilitation needs, from geriatric patients recovering post-surgery to active athletes in need of sports rehabilitation. Each patient presents unique challenges and opportunities to utilize your expertise in physical therapy.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • A current state licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in Nevada.
  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a clinical or home care setting is required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to provide effective patient education and support.
  • Proficiency in using rehabilitation exercise equipment and therapy modalities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively while attending to multiple patients' needs.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in home care therapy settings is highly desired.
  • Specialization in any of the following areas:
    Orthopedic, Neurological, Pediatric, or Geriatric Rehabilitation will be considered a plus.
  • Exposure to telehealth practices can be advantageous as we explore comprehensive patient engagement strategies.
Compensation and Benefits
