What You’ll Be DoingOur Energy Division delivers advanced analytical and strategic consulting services to a diverse range of clients, including energy companies, utilities, governments, and non‑profits globally. In this pivotal role, you will lead projects, conduct quantitative analyses, compile insightful reports, engage with external audiences, and drive business development initiatives. You will focus on complex topics related to demand‑side management (DSM), including distributed energy resources, electrification, decarbonization, demand response, energy efficiency, flexible load resources, virtual power plants, and retail rate design.

Responsibilities- Lead and oversee research and data collection efforts, utilizing statistical and micro‑econometric analysis to support consulting projects for energy utility clients, covering areas such as demand response, EV managed charging, battery storage, and dynamic pricing.
- Guide project teams in data analysis, synthesizing findings to address research questions, identify trends, and provide insights aligned with client goals.
- Translate analytical results into actionable conclusions and recommendations, substantiated by data.
- Conduct thorough reviews of deliverables produced by project staff to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Maintain proactive communication with team members and clients to achieve project objectives, offering constructive feedback and managing expectations effectively.
- Present findings and analysis clearly and professionally to colleagues and clients across varying time zones.
- Monitor project health concerning budgets, resource management, and timelines.
- Create detailed reports and presentations outlining methodologies, findings, and actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate within Cadmus to deliver high‑value solutions to clients, working both independently and in teams.
- BA/BS in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or related fields with 7 to 9 years of professional experience, OR
- MA/MS in the aforementioned fields with 5 to 7 years of relevant experience, OR
- PhD in the same fields with 2 to 5 years of pertinent experience.
- Experience with statistical software such as R, Python, SAS, or Stata.
- Familiarity with or experience in the electricity sector or utility industry.
- Proficient in inferential statistics, including research design and regression analysis.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational and time‑management abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Demonstrated initiative to prioritize tasks and adapt in a fast‑paced environment.
- A passion for professional growth and tackling challenging assignments.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Word and Excel.
- Prior consulting experience.
- Applied research design experience in a professional or academic context.
- Experience with Databricks and Microsoft Azure.
Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as a U.S. Perm Resident or U.S. Citizen.

The minimum starting salary for this position is $145,000, which may vary based on experience, education, and market conditions.
