About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join Norstella’s Content Strategy team, where you will drive strategic projects focused on the intersection of life science data and advanced AI methodologies. As a Senior Specialist in Life Science & AI Data Strategy, you will leverage your expertise to transform operational efficiency and maximize the utility of our data assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and propose strategic recommendations for LLM-based initiatives aimed at automating and enhancing life science data processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Data Science, Tech, and Product to turn innovative ideas into practical solutions with measurable outcomes.
  • Establish and promote best practices for responsible AI deployment within content workflows, ensuring quality and compliance.
  • Stay abreast of the latest AI and LLM advancements to identify and implement cutting-edge solutions for our data challenges.
  • Articulate how Norstella's data and AI capabilities deliver value to clients, supporting engagements with both technical and strategic insights.
  • Enhance clinical and datasets efficiently while ensuring quality standards are upheld.
  • Identify gaps and opportunities for new data products and enhancements throughout Norstella's offerings.
  • Update leadership on strategic initiatives, progress, risks, and opportunities related to AI and data efforts.
  • Champion AI tools and modern data practices across the organization, leading change management and upskilling efforts.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, or a related field. An advanced degree is preferred.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in data science, machine learning, or applied AI, with at least 3 years specifically in life sciences or biopharma data.
  • Hands-on experience in deploying LLM-based solutions with a proven track record of integrating AI/ML effectively into business processes.
  • Proficiency in Python and core ML/NLP libraries, with experience in LLM frameworks being a strong advantage.
  • Strong understanding of the drug development lifecycle and clinical trial processes.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to convey technical concepts to both engineering and executive audiences.
  • A self-directed approach with demonstrated leadership in cross-functional initiatives.
  • Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Office suite.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $105,000, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to base salary, candidates may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
