Pager Duty (NYSE:PD) is a leader in Digital Operations Management. In an always-on world, organizations of all sizes trust Pager Duty to help them deliver a perfect digital experience to their customers, every time. Teams use Pager Duty to identify issues and opportunities in real time and bring together the right people to fix problems faster and prevent them in the future.

Over 13,000 organizations (including 60 of Fortune 100) rely on Pager Duty to succeed with Digital Transformation, Cloud Migration, and Dev Ops Modernization. Notable customers include GE, Cisco, Genentech, Electronic Arts, Cox Automotive, Netflix, Shopify, Zoom, Door Dash, Lululemon and more. We are expanding rapidly as a platform for Digital Operations Management using AI/ML and Automation and growing our adoption by Development, IT, Customer Service, Security, and other teams across the organization.

Pager Duty is seeking a Principal Solutions Consultant to join our talented, customer-focused team! You will be a key strategic leader and the "technical face" of Pager Duty across the US region. This is a high-impact role that sits at the intersection of Sales, Product, and Engineering. You won’t just be selling a platform; you will be partnering with CTOs, CIOs, and VPs of Engineering at the US’s most influential enterprises to redefine how they manage digital operations, resilience, and automation.

You will act as a bridge between our customers’ long-term strategic needs and Pager Duty’s product roadmap. You will spend your time evangelizing the Pager Duty Operations Cloud, mentoring our high-performing technical sales teams, and acting as a trusted advisor to the C-suite on topics ranging from AIOps and SRE maturity to digital transformation and cloud migration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a peer and advisor to customer CTOs and CIOs, helping them navigate complex digital transformations and operationalizing the Pager Duty Operations Cloud within their organizations.

  • Represent Pager Duty as a thought leader at major industry events and through digital content, white-papers, and local media.

  • Partner closely with our Global Product and Engineering leadership in San Francisco to ensure the unique requirements of the US markets are represented in our long-term roadmap.

  • Provide architectural oversight and executive presence for our most complex, high-stakes enterprise opportunities across the US.

  • Foster a local community of Dev Ops and SRE leaders, sharing best practices on operational excellence, incident response, and the ethical application of AI in operations.

  • Stay ahead of the curve on the competitive landscape, identifying market shifts and technical trends that Pager Duty can capitalize on.

Who You Are
  • You have a deep-seated passion for the future of digital operations. You can articulate not just where the industry is today, but where it will be in 3–5 years.

  • You are equally comfortable white-boarding a complex micro services architecture with a Lead Architect as you are presenting a business value case to a Board of Directors.

  • You have a strong technical foundation. You understand the "pains" of the modern developer because you’ve lived them.

  • You don’t just want to close deals; you want to ensure customers achieve their desired outcomes and see Pager Duty as a mission-critical partner.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 15+ years of experience in technical leadership, solutions architecture, or product management within the SaaS, Dev Ops, or Cloud infrastructure space.

  • Proven track record of engaging with and influencing C-level executives at Fortune 500 or equivalent global enterprises, navigating complex organizations.

  • Proven ability to support and influence sales cycles with a solid grasp of sales processes and customer buying journeys

  • Deep domain expertise in at least three of the following:
Incident Management, SRE (Site Reliability Engineering), AIOps, Cloud Native Architectures, ITSM/ITIL, or Cybersecurity Incident Response.

  • Exceptional public speaking and written communication skills.

  • Ability to travel across the US and occasionally overseas.
