Job Description

As the Carson Campus Manager, you play a vital role in advancing Nevada Humane Society’s mission to care for pets, find them homes, and save lives. This role provides leadership and oversight of Carson City campus operations, ensuring high standards of animal welfare, regulatory compliance, and team performance. You partner with authorized personnel to make sound employment decisions aligned with organizational goals, while fostering a positive, mission-driven workplace.

Through strong leadership, you drive operational excellence, community partnerships, and outcomes in animal care.

This is a full time job.

This leadership role requires a minimum of three years of experience in a supervisory or management capacity within an animal shelter. Candidates must demonstrate proven success leading teams and multiple departments in a high-volume, open-admission or similarly complex environment, with strong experience in staff development, employee relations, operational oversight, and ethical, humane decision-making. A strong working knowledge of animal welfare standards, shelter operations, canine behavior and training principles, along with excellent organizational and communication skills, physical ability to perform shelter duties, and flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and emergencies, is required.
