Machinist (3rd Shift – 9:00 PM to 6:30 PM) About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Machinist to operate CNC and manual machine tools to produce precision‑manufactured parts according to blueprints and technical specifications. Working under the supervision of the Cell Supervisor/Work Leader, this role is responsible for high‑quality workmanship, safe operation, and supporting efficient production in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Shift3rd Shift: 9 PM to 6:30 AM
Responsibilities Core Duties- Work safely and follow all health, safety, and environmental policies
- Demonstrate integrity and uphold company ethical standards
- Collaborate effectively in a team environment
- Interpret written, verbal, and diagram‑based instructions
- Apply problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills
- Read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures
- Communicate clearly in English
- Seek opportunities to improve efficiency and productivity
- Maintain high levels of quality in close‑tolerance machining
- Use intermediate math skills for measurements and troubleshooting
- Replace cutting tools to maintain product conformity
- Safely operate overhead cranes
- Use inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, pi tapes) and various hand tools
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and manuals, including GD&T
- Adjust machine feeds, speeds, and cutting tools as needed
- Work effectively with minimal supervision
- Perform routine equipment maintenance
- Complete required inspection documentation
- Follow priorities and assignments from supervisors
- Maintain clean and safe workstation
- Align and secure fixtures, tools, and materials on machines
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Ability to understand and follow instructions in English
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Trade school education or certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of manufacturing machining experience (manual machining required)
- Ability to read blueprints and technical documents
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office
- Machining certifications as required by equipment
- Occasionally sit, lift, and move up to 30 lbs
- Regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs; push/pull up to 500 lbs with handling equipment
- Frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, talk, and hear
- Use hands for typing, handling, and operating tools
- Must successfully pass initial and annual hearing and vision exams
- Work in conditions with moving mechanical parts, moderate heat/cold, and loud noise
This is a manufacturing environment with exposure to mechanical and electrical components, loud noise, and varying temperatures. Safety equipment and awareness are required.
