Material Handler, Forklift Operator
Job Summary
We are seeking a Material Handler to work at a premier manufacturing client in Carson City, NV. The position is 1st shift with a starting rate of $20.00 per hour.
Responsibilities- Retrieving stock to fulfill work orders and customer orders.
- Receiving products, verifying counts, and maintaining accurate computer records.
- Storing materials in designated warehouse locations and delivering materials to work centers.
- Completing inventory transactions on computers or handheld devices.
- Assisting manufacturing teams by resolving and investigating shortages.
- Preparing materials for outside processing and maintaining a clean, organized stockroom according to 6S standards.
- Conducting physical stock audits and supporting other inventory-related duties as directed by the inventory supervisor and leadership team.
- High school diploma or GED (required).
- At least 3 years of experience in shipping/receiving, forklift operation, inventory, warehousing, or a distribution center environment (required).
- Lean training or experience (preferred).
- General knowledge of inventory systems and comfort using MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and understanding English.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work within an ITAR-regulated facility.
