SMT Operator
Employnet is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated SMT Operator to join our manufacturing team. The SMT Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining Surface Mount Technology (SMT) equipment used in the assembly of printed circuit boards (PCBs). The ideal candidate will have experience in electronics manufacturing, a strong commitment to quality, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities- Operate SMT production equipment, including screen printers, pick-and-place machines, and reflow ovens.
- Set up and prepare machines according to production schedules and work instructions.
- Load, replenish, and verify electronic components and materials used in the manufacturing process.
- Perform visual inspections and quality checks on circuit boards and assembled products.
- Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain production efficiency and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and escalate concerns when necessary.
- Complete production reports and maintain accurate documentation of manufacturing activities.
- Follow IPC standards, company procedures, and customer specifications.
- Perform routine machine cleaning and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve manufacturing issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce defects.
- Previous SMT Operator or electronics manufacturing experience preferred.
- Familiarity with PCB assembly and SMT manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, assembly drawings, and production documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Basic computer skills and experience with production tracking systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks and work in a manufacturing environment.
First shift: 6:00am-2:30pm Monday-Friday ($19/PH)
Second shift: 3:00pm-11:30pm Monday-Friday ($20.50/PH)
