Overview
The Electronic Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining electronic, electrical, and industrial control systems supporting manufacturing operations. This position ensures equipment reliability through preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of CNC controls, PLC systems, laser equipment, and process instrumentation while maintaining compliance with company quality and safety standards.
The ideal candidate will possess strong electronics troubleshooting skills, industrial maintenance experience, and the ability to support complex manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced production environment.
Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting- Troubleshoot and repair electronic control systems, including CNC controls, PLCs, and temperature control systems.
- Install, test, and maintain industrial control systems.
- Diagnose and repair laser systems and associated electronic equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment failures.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
- Order replacement parts according to manufacturer specifications.
- Perform CNC mechanical repair and machine setup as needed.
- Support maintenance of mills, lathes, grinders, EDM machines, and industrial furnaces.
- Assist with PLC programming logic and troubleshooting.
- Support continuous equipment improvement initiatives to maximize uptime.
- Perform additional maintenance tasks throughout the facility as assigned.
- Ensure compliance with Company Repair Station Manual (RSM) and Quality Control Manual (QCM).
- Maintain compliance with ISO and Total Customer Satisfaction (TCS) quality standards.
- Follow all company health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Promote and adhere to the Corporate Code of Ethical Standards.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
- Work closely with Production, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to resolve equipment issues.
- Support cross-training initiatives within the department.
- Assist in maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Communicate equipment status and repair recommendations effectively.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Background in Electronics, Electrical Technology, or Industrial Maintenance.
- Experience troubleshooting industrial electronic control systems.
- Basic mechanical engineering knowledge.
- Strong logical thinking and analytical troubleshooting skills.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Good hand dexterity and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Electronics School certification or equivalent.
- Laser Systems training or certification.
- Process Instrumentation training.
- Experience working in aerospace or industrial manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with ISO quality systems and FAA-regulated environments.
- Aerospace and industrial manufacturing environment.
- Frequent interaction with Production, Engineering, and Maintenance teams.
- Exposure to manufacturing equipment, electrical systems, CNC machinery, and industrial controls.
- Requires adherence to all company safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Fast-paced environment requiring strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
